ADHD gave me answers, but coaching gave me tools

Hi, I’m Liz Goodbrand.

For years, I looked like I had it all together: a senior role, leading a big team. But under the surface, I was running on empty: second-guessing myself, running on adrenaline and pushing through cycles of burnout.

It wasn’t until my son began his own ADHD journey that I was finally diagnosed at 40. That moment brought both relief and grief. Finally understanding my brain, yet reflecting on all the years of self-doubt and never quite fitting in.

As a mum to two neurodivergent kids, it also gave me a fierce determination to create a different way forward – for them, for me and for others.
Coaching gave me the tools and space to rebuild my life. To untangle my thoughts, reconnect with my strengths and find strategies that actually worked for my brain.

And that’s why I created The Good Space: to help others do the same.

What we believe

At The Good Space, we’re not here to fix people – we’re here to see them, support them and create space for them to thrive.

We believe in:

We’re here to help you feel less overwhelmed, more understood and clearer about where you’re headed.

What makes The Good Space different?

We blend lived experience, professional training and up to 20 years in business

I spent two decades in fast-paced corporate environments, navigating deadlines, stakeholders, politics and pressure. I know what it feels like to be “high-achieving” on the outside while quietly crumbling inside.

Now, I bring together:

Professional credibility – Certified ADHD coach, trained in leadership, coaching, communications and mental health first aid

Lived experience – late-diagnosed ADHDer, parent to two wonderful neurodivergent boys, recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser

Corporate background – 20+ years in leadership, marketing and communications, working with brilliant people and teams

Vision

A world where neurodivergent minds stop making themselves small and instead step confidently into their brilliance, knowing they’re understood, valued and supported.

Mission

Through deep listening and meeting people exactly where they are, I create safe spaces where neurodivergent minds can connect the dots between their strengths and their goals.

I bridge the conversation between brilliant people and purpose-led organisations, tipping the balance so the burden of adaption becomes shared, not carried alone.

Values

Lead with empathy

We meet people where they are: no shame, no pressure, no one-size-fits-all.

By creating space for what’s often unspoken, we build real understanding and make anything possible.

Be brave, be real

We show up with honesty and integrity, share our experiences, own our mistakes, and stay true to ourselves. Especially at times when it would be easier not to.

Because real connection only happens when we’re genuinely ourselves.

Be better, not perfect

Growth matters more than getting it right.

So we celebrate the small wins along the way.

Your neurotype may be fixed, but your strengths, skills, and potential never stop growing.

Find joy in different

We bring energy, optimism and respect to every interaction, celebrating what makes every person unique.

Different isn’t something to fix or hide. It’s a source of insight, creativity and possibility.

Giving back: community support

Not everyone who could benefit from coaching can afford it – especially if you’re newly diagnosed, exploring a career change or in a tricky work situation.

Each year, we offer a small number of fully funded spaces for both 1:1 ADHD coaching and our Leadership Development Programme.

These spaces are designed to make support and development more accessible for people who might otherwise face financial barriers.
